Connecticut Physician Services (CPS) was formed in 2003 by three large physician groups in the greater Hartford, CT area that wanted to address a growing need to provide cost-effective, specialized Health Information Technology services.
A few years later, CPS began providing HIT services for additional physician groups throughout Connecticut and New England. In 2014, the CPS Board of Directors decided to expand their regional footprint to the national level and changed their name to reflect this new direction, and National Physician Services (NPS) was born.
